Partner research teams of the institute

The GIMI is developing research projects in close partnership with a number of teams, notably within UMR INSERM 1231 and UMR INSERM 1098:

  • The SAPHYHR team "Signaling and Physiology in Hematologial Research" (presentation) headed by Dr. Laurent Delva and Pr. Jean-Noël Bastie

  • The EPICAD team "Epidemiology and clinical research in Digestive oncology" (presentation) headed by Pr. Côme Lepage and Sylvain Manfredi

  • The platform  for early clinical research Dijon/Besançon accredited by the INCa (platform CLIP2: coordination Dr. Nicolas Isambert, Dr René-Olivier Casasnovas, Pr. Christophe Borg)

  • Cancer registries able to manage population cohorts and data and to carry out medico-economic studies.

Another important advantage is the Burgundy location of the Francophone Federation of Digestive Oncology (FFCD), which manages around thirty national and international therapeutic trials, and is in charge of the development of the national ACCOMPLI program for the genomics-based treatment of colorectal cancers (6 programs, which in due course will make it possible to treat the 30% of cancers that present a genetic anomaly and are accessible to a specific treatment).
